The CD202 player represents a milestone in the playing and reproduction of Compact Discs. The open top integrated top-loading transport evokes the feel of a vinyl turntable. A special magnetic clamp is used to reduce vibrations and resonances. Once in analog form the signal is amplified by triode valve stages all featuring Audio Alto’s signature zero negative feedback. Outputs are balanced XLR and standard RCA, with a direct digital output also available for those who prefer to use their own DACs. A large and easily readable display allows the monitoring and selection of tracks together with a wide range of other functions.
